CTier - Casual Tier

Many players want to train or improve, but don't really know how. It can be quite confusing when you hear people spending hours in the lab or in training and trying to figure out where to start. Often the takeaway is that in order for you to get better you have to do the same. In a sense yes, but what they’re doing is a time based rep; they’re perform a move, combo or loop for a set duration in order to maintain and strengthen muscle memory. For a beginner the idea is to build up to muscle memory; and we have the reps types you can do to help build your muscle memory.

Count Up - Is rep count the increases when you execute a move or combo correctly. Done in 10, 20 or 30 times per reps to each side.

Oscillation Count - Is rep count the increases when you execute a move or combo correctly, however it decreases when you fail to execute the move or combo correctly. Done in 5, 10 or 20 times per reps to each side.

Time Based - Is when you’ll execute a move or combo for the entire duration of time selected. You will attack your opponent until their cornered and then will switch sides. Done in 1 ½ Minutes (90 seconds), 2 Minutes (120 seconds), 4 Minutes (240 seconds) and 5 minute (300 seconds) intervals.

For beginners, please look at the basic combo’s and moves of your character. You should start with a Count Up rep of 10 using those moves. This allow you to move through the basic techniques and moves of a character until it becomes fluid and consistent. Slowly increase your reps by 5 to 10 increase consistency until you reach a rep of 30.

Before you start any endless or ranked matches, always try to do your reps. Often a characters set should take 5 to 7 minutes for a warm up and 7 to 10 minutes to run though all of the relevant moves and combos of your character.
