General code of Conduct:

All players should be respectful and display good sportsmanship. This means that players spamming their opponents with profanity, personal attacks, etc will be suspended

Players caught watching the live broadcasts of players in their game will be banned from the group.

Any use of exploits result in a ban.

You must register at www.civplayers.com to play ranked games

Predetermined alliances between players in FFAs are not allowed

General game rules:

No leaving a game, unless

You have lost your capital city
All players concede to one player in a vote in chat
All players vote you irrelevant in a vote in chat
Real life issue comes up

Only play when you have enough time, six player games often require at least 7 hours

Attacking players with the intent of being killed or staying in game without actually playing are prohibited. If you feel you are irrelevant, ask to be voted irrelevant.

Players are encouraged to pass irrelevant votes. Players who have been asked to be made irrelevant but are forced to remain in the game often negatively impact the enjoyment of the other players.

The in-game scoreboard is a poor display for players' strengths or impact on a game. Players may willingly give up their position to lower scoring players. Players who extort other players for position will be suspended.

Players should be attempting to place 1st in FFA games. Playing for 2nd or other lower places is against the intended purpose of FFA games. Ranked play is about having better games, not gaining points.


Technical Problems:

If the game crashes, ALWAYS meet in chat for a reload. Players must wait 10 minutes for disconnected players to return.

If, after 10 minutes, the disconnected player has not returned a sub may be found. Players are required to wait 5 more minutes for a sub. After 5 minutes have passed if any player wishes to leave, the game is scrapped.

Games with technical problems can be scrapped in a majority vote in chat

Due to a bug the Scholars in Residence Congress resolution is prohibited

Civ Specific Game Rules:


If you random Venice, you may request a rehost.

If you random Spain, the game may be remade with a majority vote, ties resulting in continuing.

Diplomatic Interactions:

Gold deals, open borders, research agreements, city-trading, and luxury trading with the AI are prohibited. Only peace deals may be made with the AI and they may only include peace with the AI and their allies

Repairing city-state tiles is prohibited

Repeatedly warring and making peace with city-states for purposes of training units or conquering them is prohibited

Players must vote for themselves for world leader


Warfare:

Shift-moves are not allowed.

Repairing your opponent’s tiles is not allowed.
