Here's currently a virus going around Steam which offers free games to people who click a link and fill in details to a page. If any of your friends sends you a suspicious link, PLEASE DO NOT CLICK IT!

The message will look something like this:

"hurry up only 24 games will be gifted in this link.
Don't forget to say thanks !"

If you click on the link, the site may ask you to download something - it is a trojan and the site will take temporary/permanent control of a Steam account in order to spread the link and the trojan.

If you've already clicked on the link but didn't fill out any details, then you are probably safe but may wish to run a scan on your computer if you are worried.
