Cs:go till we die

Hi everyone,

So I decided to resign on my 1 year anniversary as staff. The reason why I did this is simply because I lost interest. I would hop on the server everyday without doing the work I was supposed to be doing, and since there has been a lot of drama recently about staff not doing their job when they hop on, I didn’t want this to happen to me aswell.

I recently started playing different games with my friends more and more and do less and less staff duties. Next year is also my last school year and that year is going to be really tough and will need all my energy and effort. I also didn’t want to become inactive for a long time yet again, like I did in the past. I simple didn’t want to end up as yet another inactive demoted Mod+.

I have thought about resigning for a long time now and even now I’m still emotional about this. Some may say that I shouldn’t have done it, but I think it’s for the better. After all, it’s better to not come online at all, instead of coming online without doing your job.

I remember that someone who used to be staff once said this: ‘’I think that there's just some staff who are hella inactive because they still want to be staff, but just got tired of it.’’
This is true. In one way I still wanted to be staff, but in the other way, I didn’t want to be demoted for inactivity, which I knew would happen if I kept going the way I was going.

I’d like to thank some people in this thread, since I feel like they deserve to be thanked.

Thank you for accepting me as a Helper last year. I had been trying to achieve this rank for 2 years and after failing the first time, you guys finally gave me the oppurtunity to become a Helper. Thank you for accepting and promoting me from default all the way to Mod+. My first 3 months as staff were the absolute best. To become staff was a dream I always wanted to chase, but I never thought I would be promoted 3 times in 3 months. Thank you guys so much for giving me those chances.

To @MrDeathWilliam specifically:
Thanks for helping me through the last few months. I took your advice and it helped, but now it’s just over. Thanks for helping me through everything and thanks for leading this staff team. I hope you will continue as Co-Owner, but I understand that eventually you too will have to quit. Thanks again for all the help. You’re an amazing staff member and I have a lot of respect for you.

Second of all @Auxilium__
I have known this guy for over 2 years now (I met him on March 27th 2015). He has been my friend since the very first day we met and he always helped me out with everything. Especially when I got staff. He helped me through all the ranks and helped me everytime I needed him. He is a great guy and deserves a lot of respect. Thank you so much for everything you have done. I really appreciate all the work you have done for me and the server.

Third of all @I_Am_Groot aka Sirius.
Even though we hated each other a lot when we both just got staff, we are great friends now. We had our ups-and-downs and even though we couldn’t stand each other, I’m glad we got staff at the same time. You are there for me when I need you and we always agree on everything, even if that used to be the opposite. I’m glad you came back to the staff team. Don’t give up on your dreams. I really hope to see you as Mod+ one day.

And of course I want to thank the entire staff team for sticking with me and working together with me. Even though a lot of people dislike staff, they really do everything they can for the server to make it a fun place and should be appreciated for all the hours of their free time they put into working for this server.

I know this sounds cheap and cheezy and a lot of resigned staff say this, but if you want to be staff, go for it and don’t give up. It can be rough and difficult to have to wait for so long, but never give up. I waited for 2 years to become a staff member and eventually had given up and became inactive. Even after I messed up bigtime in the past, I eventually got staff and I went from default to Mod+ in 3 months. Nothing is impossible as long as you believe. Everything can happen if you work hard for it. Even if you mess up, you may get another chance to make things right. If you want to go for something, fight for it. You can do it.

I honestly don’t know if I will stay very active on the server anymore. Like I said, I’m losing interest in Minecraft. It’s not because of this server, it’s just in general. I’ll still come online to record videos and play with friends, but you will mostly see me AFK on FarmKing, so if you need me, message me on the forums, Skype or Discord. I will continue my activity on the forums like always. I will just be less active on the server. I also don’t know if I will ever re-apply again. I may, I may not. I don’t know yet. I guess the future will tell.

I don’t really know what else to say. I’m just really emotional about leaving the staff team, but I know I made the right choice. There are better people fit for Mod+. Active people, unlike me. I don’t regret applying 6 times, though. It was absolutely worth it and this server has teached me a lot (1 thing is being able to speak and write proper English because of the amount of time I spent on the server, over 3 years to be exact. Another thing is all the amazing memories I got here. All my old and current friends who left me so many good and beautiful memories which I will never forget.)

So yeah, that’s all I wanted to say. I’m gonna miss everything extremely much and I know I’ll be sad over it, but it’s for the better. Everything comes to an end eventually.

If you ever need me, don ’t be afraid to ask, though. I will still help people in the best way I can and I won’t go inactive entirely. Just less on the server. Thanks everyone for helping and supporting me through this amazing year of ups, downs and awesome memories. I won’t ever forget that. Thanks for everything.
