The Team!

Today we played our first scrim (team vs team) against Oasis.eS. They kindly hosted a best of 3, 5v5 match in which we played. The maps were chosen between the two teams and ended up being Cache, Dust2 and Overpass, in that order.
We did play this on quite short notice (a couple days) and I think the team did a good job compared to what we were up against even though we lost both maps 4-16 (cache) and 7-16 (dust). On paper that might look terrible but Oasis had a GN3, 2 GNM's and one MG player. Considering we only had 2 SEM's and 2 GN2's I don't think we did that badly and we did prove we can win rounds.

Individual performances:
On the first map, cache, our team was Ghost, Turtle, Lord, Carson, and Ctrl. We started cache losing 0-4 and it wasn't looking good, but by the end of the half Lord was top fragging on 12(ish) kills so well done to him for playing really well. Another special mention to Ghost who had a slow start but came back to top the team by the end of the game so well done to him too.

On dust we ended up dropping carson and picking up typhoon because typhoon came online. I don't recall specific plays but we lost the knife round and started T, but then won the pistol round with a strat we came up with in less than 24 hours before the game. The rest of the half didn't go too well but the CT's did play quite an agressive half knowing their players were simply better than ours.

Summary
I think playing against a high ranked team on such short notice with no real preperation was a little tough on the guys especially for the first scrim. I think overall everyone played well and if we put some more time into practising strats as a 5 man then we will do alot better in coming games.
