AHP was founded by Jokerkrush in November 2014, originally for the purpose of gathering the Hawken playerbase under a single group, and organizing play times to fill up servers. Since then the group has gradually grown and evolved into a more general hub for the active Hawken community, involving discussion forums, group chat, and events like Hawken Fridays and hosting competitive games.

Hawken being Greenlit in 2013, and finally Steam released in 2014 were huge milestones, resulting in waves of people discovering the game. With the newfound popularity, we've more or less reached the original goal of eliminating "dedgame".

This has challenged Hawken to reinvent itself to better serve the growing playerbase, and retain the new players' influx and interest. Especially competitive play seems to have a huge potential.
