Key features of HeRO server are as follows:

Pre-Renewal

Low rate: 5x Base Exp / 5x Job Exp

Levels cap at 99/50 and 99/70

Guild name is InfinityCircuit

Type /bgm to turn on the glorious background music.

If you've never played Ragnarok, this is a great place to start. If you're an old adventurer this is a great way to relive those old times with a decent server that isn't bot infested.

Tomorrow: Rise Of Midgard

Hello everyone. It's that time of the year again. Tomorrow I'll be posting the long awaited thread to /v/. This time around we'll be trying out the Rise Of Midgard server.
RoM is a similar server to HeRO in that it's a 5x baseexp and 5x jobexp. Item rates are 3x (compared to HeRO's 5x) but with a slightly higher card rate drop of 0.2% and a 0.1% minimum common equipment drop rate.

Another thing to know about RoM is it's "Onboarding System" that basicly is a way to help new players. You can read more about it here: https://riseofmidgard.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=831

Those are the biggest changes I can think of at the moment to this server. If there are any concerns/thoughts please let me know what you think.

Let's Find A Server

It's coming up on that time of year again, so we might as well start looking from somewhere to play.

Like last time we're looking for a low-rate or very low mid-rate server that reflects Pre-Renewal Ragnarok Online.

HeRO is still active, even if slightly less so, but is still being developed for and has some level of a community, despite its issues (Poor Economy+Low Drop Rates, unfun endgame content with powercreep gear, lazy devs/staff).

If you've got a word on any server, let us hear it.

sorry about not showing up to Estland RO. I played 1 night with Soab while I was sick and my condition worsened the next day. I'm still sick even now but with my current classes I can't really devote a good amount of time to RO. As such, I'll wait till the summer revival to play again. Though if anyne wants to just talk then hit me up.

So the October thread is gone, but in all honesty, it didn't really ever gain much traction. I think we should just keep communicatons to this and the in game chat for now. Feel free to post about HeRO or Reborn here.
