The 10e Régiment de Hussards, was a remarkable French hussar cavalry unit that played a prominent role throughout the Napoleonic Wars.
Renowned for their agility, speed, and effectiveness in light cavalry operations, they became a force to be reckoned with.

Formation of the regiment back to the year 1792, during the French Revolution, when it emerged from the ranks of the Black Hussars, a free corps initially organized in the Nord department.
In 1793, the 10e Hussards made their mark in the Battle of Neerwinden and the Siege of Cambrai, where they achieved a notable feat by capturing a flag belonging to the 10th English infantry. From 1794 to 1800, they served under different French armies, including the Sambre and Meuse, Coasts of the Ocean, and the Army of Italy. In 1800, the regiment came under the leadership of one of the most famous hussar commanders of the Napoleonic Era, Antoine Charles Louis de Lasalle.

As part of the formidable Grande Armée, the 10th Hussars participated in the Ulm Campaign and the legendary Battle of Austerlitz in 1805. Their swift maneuvers and daring charges significantly contributed to the triumph of the French forces in these pivotal engagements. Their service extended to subsequent campaigns, such as the War of the Fourth Coalition, encompassing the Battles of Jena, Saalfeld, Stettin, and Pultusk, as well as the grueling Peninsular War in Spain.

In 1813, the regiment took part in the German campaign, engaging in battles at Lützen, Bautzen, and Dresden. They later fought valiantly during the French campaign, participating in notable encounters at Vauchamps, Claye, and finally at Villeparisis, marking their last known battle. However, after Napoleon's exile to Elba, the 10th Régiment de Hussards was disbanded, much like many other French units.

10e Régiment de Hussards is an international hussar competetive regiment in M&B Napoleonic Wars founded by Domi and Atlatan on 23rd October of 2022. Originally we were known as cav companies of 55th and then 24e. On 18th April 2023 the formation was rebranded to a single 10e_Huss cavalry regiment .

Our main goal is to compete with other cavalry teams by playing matches and tournaments. All kept with great atmosphere. We welcome both experienced and inexperienced cavalry players.
