Our next roguelite... Demo out now!

Hello everyone!

At a certain point after releasing a game, every developer needs to decide what to do next with the resources they have available... and when thinking about making another game, something we really value at Twice Different is innovation. Especially with mechanics!
We want to make sure we're giving you a new experience.

With Ring of Pain we aimed to make a fresh card crawler format which is dynamic and challenging. We're immensely thankful for all the support we've received making this, and hope to continue making dark strategy games with a weird twist.

Our next game, Winnie's Hole, is another dark roguelite genre mashup.

It's a combo-driven deckbuilder where you play as a virus inside Winnie.
Explore his body at a cellular level, capturing resources to mutate and evolve.

We've iterated a lot to make this game unlike any roguelite on the market, and we hope you'll like it.

This is the first demo and we'd love to get community feedback on Steam or our Discord.[discord.gg]

Features

- Added a new light item Selective Stone!
This allows you to select the Item Sets you want to spawn throughout the game.
- Added 10+ new items
- Added 15+ new achievements

Bug fix

- Fixed bugs with Precious
- Fixed resurrection bugs
- Sentimental Value achievement does not consider the light item equipped
- Fixes for loading into some boss rooms on Hard mode

Balance

- Cursed Bounty is now Multiclass
- Not Touching You Achievement has been adjusted to be unlocked when the player kills a monsters without clicking on it
- Fur Coat is now multiclass
- Bloodlust daily dungeon only triggers on main turns

Thanks again to everyone who's been playing the game, testing, supporting us and our community.

This year we've been chipping away at this update while also working on our next game, Winnie's Hole. We're designing this game to be another fresh challenge in the roguelike/roguelite space, so if you want more creepycute content from us hit it with a wishlist and stay tuned.

Dev livestream: Painting new content!

Hi all, thanks for the reports and feedback on the Beta. This update brings it closer to release and includes an adjustment to make Selective Stone more flexible.

Features

Selective Stone allows you to select multiple archetypes instead of just one
Note: This change will affect any runs in progress.

This week we have a new announcement for you... our next game:

We're excited to reveal the game. This is alpha footage so there's still a lot of work to do!...

Added a new light item Selective Stone!
This will allow you to select an item set type at the start of a run, and only items in that set (and multiclass items) will spawn.

Bug Fixes

Soul Stitch will set the players *Total* Max Health instead of base Max Health
Fixed Iron Grinder
Fixed the Expensive Look achievement

We weren't sure if / when we'd be making more content but here we are!

A new Beta build has arrived

We're pleased to present you with more placeholder art glory as none of these items have images yet, but we'd love your feedback and please report any bugs by clicking on the bug icon in the top right of the pause menu.

Once tested and finalised we'll be releasing this content to all platforms in a new update inspired by community suggestions in our Discord [discord.gg] events.
