This is an amazing interactive story where you play as Jodie Holmes, this girl with this unique connection to this supernatural entity named Aiden. It's made by Quantic Dream, and what's really cool is that the choices you make shape Jodie's journey from childhood to adulthood. The game's visuals are stunning, and the performances from Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe really bring the characters to life. Plus, the story is full of twists and turns that keep you hooked until the very end. It's like stepping into a gripping cinematic adventure where you're not just watching the story unfold—you're actively shaping it.

Zoey is worth it

i really wanted to like this game. but i didn't.

THIS IS NOT A PC GAME! Unless you are a console kiddy who uses a pc as if it was a console (rofl) then don't waste time/money even attempting this.

It became obvious right on menu screen that this console kiddy game never should have been ported to PC by the morons who made it. Feels like early console ports where instead of actually porting it to windows code they built an interface shell around the game to make it function on a PC.
This lazy dev stunt ALWAYS results in a game with severe input problems because they are basically running the controls through what amounts to a filter causing input loss. (slow mouse response, laggy mouse, key presses/mouse input not registering occasionally/frequently)

they really forced the romance between jodie and ryan which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird cause when ryan first saw jodie she was about 16, no lgbtq romances, david cage really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up 3 games in a row with lgbtq characters. gameplay is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ wouldnt recomand playng if you prefer gameplay over story, the story is pretty good? idk man i used to really like this game but now its pretty meh when ive discovered better games with better stories and better gameplay. thx for reading hope this review helps!

Awesome and refreshing game from 2013 which holds up surprisingly (and also not surprisingly) well, since all other story driven games nowadays are pretty garbage. The game looks and runs like fine wine holding up greatly in 2024. There are pretty few moments where I am bored out of my mind, especially almost all the versions when you are a young kid, but everything else... I never care for story games but this was one of the few I actually wanted to come back and keep playing till the very end. 8/10

Randomly placed story pieces that cannot be missed and do not affect the progression of the story.

The game runs at 10-15 FPS on a 144Hz monitor and there's no way to fix it.
The developer should have mentioned this

It could have been a good one, but the gameplay is very often muddy and I don't know what the camera is trying to do. But more severe is the story: it's all over the place and nowhere. Some of the chapters are fun to play, some are annoying and some are totally unnecessary. I have have no problem with jumping through different timelines, but Beyond offers not a good flow through this structure :(
I played it through, but the closer I got to the end, the less I cared about the story and just wanted it to be over!
