I need a game to hold me over until Atlas. How does the multiplayer on this work, is anyone playing?

Nobody is playing, there are no active games and playing alone makes no sense. It cost me 1€ and it seems like a fun game, but there is no way to enjoy it outside of cooperative. Other games of this type have a small but active community that keeps it alive, that doesn't seem to be the case here....
