As a fan of the SK series, I would recommend this game! I hadn't played the first game to completion on my 3DS, so it was nice to finally see the story through this remake. It plays like the other mainline 3D games, but with special features from the original game such as the frantic mode and the Yin and Yang ability levels. Go ahead and get this game on sale if you want a chill game to play with fun characters!

I was happily surprised to see how well developed the characters are in this well made story compared to the flanderized versions we see in the later games that has little to no plot. It's through this game I imagine people fell in love with certain characters like Hikage and Mirai who especially have a lot of time to shine and develop. In addition to the characters and story with actual plot, I also enjoyed the music. People seem to sleep on the OST for the SK games, yet it is the same series that has a rhythm game spin-off. Lastly, if you like character customization you'll enjoy this game thanks to the in depth system. You can make really detailed outfits or stretched out abominations thanks to the system that allows you to resize, rotate, and move the cosmetics around on the character. Furthermore, if you want to show off your outfits you've made, you can always use the detailed diorama mode to get some nice pictures!

Soundtrack is really good, and the girls are hot, but unfortunately the game itself is just a little too 'bare bones.' The campaign runs way too long, at over 80 missions total for the two main stories. Every mission is virtually the same, with empty room after empty room with a few drones to beat up - it gets old very quickly. I did sink upwards of 70 hours into the game, though, so it gets a rec from me.
