Cliff Empire is a minimalist city-building game with genuinely beautiful visuals. The lighting, building models, and overall art direction are very pleasant and relaxing, especially when viewed from above or during different times of day.

That said, the game is purely focused on construction — it doesn't offer much in terms of story or exploration. The Travel mode (accessed via the Tab key) is a nice idea, but currently it fails to deliver a truly immersive “city touring” experience. Moreover, there's no road or pathway system, which makes the city layout feel visually disconnected and static.

Construction space is also limited in a few areas — some small zones are unusable despite seeming viable, which leads to wasted building potential. From a visual standpoint, there are immersion-breaking details such as drones flying through buildings or stacking on top of each other when landing at warehouses and facilities. While detailed physics aren't expected in this genre, a basic level of physical consistency would help maintain the believability of the game world.

The current marauder attack system feels more decorative than challenging. Enemy drones follow predictable, linear paths without evasive maneuvers, which makes it easy for missile systems and anti-air turrets to take them down every time. This causes defense encounters to feel repetitive and lack excitement. If the marauder AI were enhanced with smarter behaviors — like dodging, changing direction, or coordinated group attacks — the combat aspect would become much more engaging. The Orbital Station feature also feels underdeveloped and could use more meaningful gameplay integration.

One more note: the sidewalls structures system has a lot of potential but hasn’t been fully utilized. Allowing players to build multiple structures along the same vertical line (connected by elevators or support modules) would add greater depth and flexibility to vertical city planning.

In summary, Cliff Empire offers a solid city-building experience with excellent visuals and a relaxing atmosphere. While some features lack logical depth or polish, the foundation is strong — and I genuinely hope the developers continue improving what is already a very promising game.
