I don't know what it is about this well made game, but it's so whimsical and nice. I feel really good now i just completed it. I can't put my finger on it but something about this game is just the best. Good job.
If i was a kid, it would be up there in my top 10 games. A living childrens book, but a book that fights back.

Good game, but suffers the same as all steamworld games in that it is WAYYYYY too long

I would consider all other previous Steamworld games excellent. Very tight design that while short games set out to do one thing well. This however doesn't follow that and it holds the games back.

I think the game is good, however there are some issues i had while playing. First the 2nd half of the game is such a drag and it doesn't help that this is already more than triple the length of their previous games and the story wasn't good enough to hold my attention and ended up skipping the dialog in the 2nd half, and even then it still felt like it was going on forever. Then the second problem is that the cards just aren't that interesting and it's very restrictive with how you make decks. While the combat as a whole is fine, (although a bit simple), the mechanics aren't that deep or exiting. Last major issue the boss fights are lame. It's just a normal enemy with more health and maybe a resistance to an element. They're just uninspired and not fun to fight most of the time. Not to mention there's a lot of reskins of earlier bosses. I think i fought the same basic dragon boss like 5 times, but instead of being immune to electric damage, this time it's immune to frost.

In conclusion i still think it's a good game but i was really hoping for it to be done with 5 hours earlier then it did. Just keep in mind this is not a rougelike and there is a linear story with an ending so there's no intensive to replay it, like other card games.
