How is this game best experienced? Debating getting it for the Steam Deck

I died to a laser and everytime I respawn I immediantly die again (can't even dodge) and therefore am in an infinite death loop. Either the spawn location is bugged (as the Respawn is right next to lasers), or I accidentaly fulfilled some specific condition. Either way I am screwed as the death loop softlocks me....

Please let the right stick on a controller be for the cross-hair when aiming a ranged weapon. Using the left stick for movement and aiming doesn't work well.

Здравствуйте, до этого играл в эту игру пару лет назад и без проблем установил русификатор, чтобы пройти с комфортом, а сейчас нигде не могу найти его, а в самой игре не предусмотрен русский язык. Есть какое-то решение подскажите пожалуйста?...
