We have updated the OST in Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark to include the music from the bonus cases of Ghosts of Christmas Passed, One Flew Into The Cuckoo’s Nest, and Tales From The Darkside!

If you already own the OST, the music should already be in your library!

The audio filter applied on the pause/options menu in game carrying over when exiting a case.
The ‘loading’ music having a muffled sound to it.
PlayStation Controllers Set up having some of the wrong button images on PC Platforms
Press to Start Screen not detecting PlayStation Controllers until after input on PC Platforms
Dialogue repeating every time you visit a certain Screen
Strange issue with the Screens being cut off
Brightside: Bits Box Interactivity Issue
D-Pad occasionally not working in the Main Menus
PS5 Controller not working on most PC Platforms
Pause being enabled during Black Screen Transitions
Some issues with the Interrogation Minigame and Bits Box Minigame
Small issue with the wrong Hotspots sometimes being layered on top in the Bits Box Minigame
Being able to place the Figurines anywhere using the Pause Menu on the Final Minigame
Brightside: None of the correct combinations working in the Interrogation Minigame
Case 6: Not being able to progress past Screen Shakes
Clicking "Continue Investigation" on any of the 9 Cases causes the first Scene of the Case to briefly flash on Screen before loading the correct Scene
PS4 Controller Image not showing when using a PS5 Controller on PC Platforms
Computer Cursor staying on Screen until the In-Game Cursor appears

- Issue with dialogue not being in the correct state after Resetting the game, causing softocks
- Issue using the Click to Start Menu Issue with a controller
- Loading Screen Music only playing for a brief second when exiting a Case
- Various Dialogue Choices and Menu issues
- Case 4: Ticket Booth Translation Issues
- Restarting a Case while Dialogue is on Screen making Dialogue Choices unable to be interacted with
- Item Hotspots overlapping inventory causing the wrong item to be picked up on smaller screens
- Case 6: Cables Hotspot disappearring after picking one up
- Case 6: Save/Load making the Science Bench Hotspot layer over Mcking's hotspot
- Case 4: Save/Load causing McQueen's hotspot to reappear at his previously position
- Hotspot text not layering above items when dragging them
- Case 2: No Door SFX when entering and leaving Nanny Dooley's Room
- Raxa Case: Save/Load makeing Raxa's reflection disappear in the first WWW Screen

Hey detectives,

We have released a patch for Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark that fixed some hotspot inconsistencies and placements which could interfere with the players’ inventory, fixed an issue with some achievements not firing, and more. You can read the full patch notes below.

We’re teaming up with Makeship to develop Dooley and McQueen plushies!

We’re thrilled to announce the crowdfunding campaign for Dooley and McQueen plushies with Makeship. Take Dooley and McQueen with you on your own investigations! These plushies have velcro on their hands to hold items like hotdogs, a magical occult book or even… each other’s hands. 👀

If you were watching the Akupara section of MIX Next Publisher Spotlight you would have seen that the final case, Tales From The Darkside, is now available for you to enjoy! If you missed the trailer you can view it here!

This one case is actually three mini cases back to back where you’ll join the fan favorite side characters to solve the mysteries of Twin Lake! Will the Bloodwolves, the Brightside Division, and Rexa each solve their cases and save Twin Lake?

I have found some clues about where to find the next announcement for the final case. Darkside Detective: Fumble in the Dark will be featured in the MIX Publisher Spotlight with new exciting announcements about the upcoming free update. The MIX Publisher Spotlight is a special section of MIX Next, the Akupara Publisher Showcase will announce details about upcoming titles, drop new content for our released games and even reveal the next, new Akupara game!
