Kind of jank but fun exploration game

The game's 'difficulty' feels like this: There is a room with 8 levers. one lever unlocks a loot chest, the other 7 levers open trapdoors in the floor that eject you from the dungeon. If you pull the wrong lever you can never unlock the chest. (this is an actual 'puzzle' in the game)

The game likes to prank you when you die by taking away your gear sometimes and making you solve puzzles or overcome challenges to get it back. The issue is these are poorly designed so I have had multiple inventories of gear be deleted when these rooms change state.

The final straw for me was a bug that happened after playing with my friend that deleted everything in my backpack which included my armor, all of my survival gear and all my gold ingots.

got attacked by a black chocobo looking bird
"died"
got awoken by bandits and put into a slave pen
jumped down a deep hole to escape
woke up on a beach somewhere
ran towards a fort
it was the same slave jail
become prisoner again
fight guard in attempt to escape and "die" again
toss my body down the same hole and arrive on the same beach
giant mantis shrimp finds me and shoots lightning at me
"rip" me
someone from my village finds my "corpse" and brings me to an inn where I wake 14 days later and its now snowing
and then I started playing outward

Pros:
- Two player Coop and splitscreen support!
- Souls-like combined with survival elements.
- Old school gameplay there is no compass with a waypoint or route with a line that gonna tell you where to go. You need to explore the world! No HUD that gonna tell you the enemy level and stats with number. You need to experience those too!
- Definitive Edition with improved graphics, QoL improvements and all DLC content.
- On discount it's very cheap definitely worth the money.
- Amazing soundtrack!
- Unique game for sure!
- Sequel, Outward 2! ;)

Cons:
- At the start can be too hardcore and because of that not everyone gonna like, you need to experiences stuffs to get better or you need to use google. Maybe you will need multiple new start!
- Deaths sometimes can be very punishing.
- Combat is clunky which needs time to get used to it.
