I thought I had done everything correctly this time (played it once before years ago), only I got the same "bad" ending as before... so I watched a playthrough video to see what steps I missed... but it looks like I did everything the other guy did to get the true ending... so what gives? Is it somehow based off of how many times you save, or some other quirky factor that I'm missing???...

I now understand what it was and it was a completely unrelated, weird issue that's mostly only me (as I used mouse to play). Up until that point, I think there wasn't too much issue with clicking past the door on the dark spots to unlock or enter a room.

The game was giving me an error when I tried to launch it, after I finally got it to work I played about 10 minuets then had to go, and now it starts up with a black screen but I can hear all the title screen sounds. No clue whats going on but hopefully someone can help...
