D3Derr invalid call error. Game won't load

I have a Windows 10 laptop with DirectX 12. I bought this game. When I click "start" I get a small black screen with this message. Anyone else have this problem or knows how to fix it? I tried everything from adjusting screen resolution to doing Autoconfig Thank you. mark...

Some nice cutscenes and at first I thought the googlemap-like artwork was interesting, however then I exited the starting building and went through screen after screen of empty city. It was like Geoguesser except nothing was happening on any of them, I couldn't interact with anything. This is incredibly tedious and dull to me.
