This is definitely less a game and more an interactive piece of artwork. Now, is it good art? Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I do like the simplicity of the game, with the puzzles hiding in plain sight (there was one I had to look up a guide for — but maybe I’m just really dumb). The surreal, freaky drawings are unique. The mix of pen-and-ink and watercolor is pretty. Some of the repetitive noises I found slightly disturbing and made me feel uncomfortable, which was the point. The story is a little woo-woo but clearly personal to the devs.

It feels a bit like a final university project that escaped into the real world, and I’m here for it. As it’s a free game that managed to make me feel things in less than an hour of playtime, I will of course give it a positive review. Am I going to go out and recommend this to people? Maybe my weird aunt, but otherwise, no. But if you’re here reading this — it’s free, you have nothing to lose. May as well experience it.
