I wish I could recommend it. I even liked the characters and was interested to see what they end up doing.

But the combat...
Normal enemies - pointless, easy, no real challenge. If there is a challenge it comes mostly from not being able to easly track and switch enemies because the targeting is really weird here.
Bosses - someone realized the combat is too easy and decided to make the bosses a slog. Too much HP, too easy to get hit by a lot of bad animations/instant attacks. Like they were designed to waste your time and consumables, not challenge you.

I wanted to finish the game but I can't force myself. Each time I try I just think about the next boss and I'm just ughhhh.

Extremely boring and the characters are so void of life. Couldn't even play past the first couple areas. Please go play Berseria instead.
