there is no range finder in this pile of garbage "sniper elite" game

the game has bullet drop but you have no way to measure distance and the game does not inform you of how to estimate using your scope

if you play on higher difficulties, missing shots means death because the AI all know where you are and will land all their shots the moment you peek from cover.

ok the game is meant to be played with assists on the first time which tell you where to aim to account for bullet drop and wind. only then can you turn the assists off on second playthrough when you have learned how to guess the distances. no thanks. game is garbage for being designed that way instead of just giving us range finding tools

the problem with playing with assists is you're not left with much else to engage with. the game is completely linear and on rails. the non-sniper weapons are designed to be played with controllers. you just spray center mass and hope the bullets hit because there is no aiming reticle, just a big circle where the bullets might land at random. close range headshotting with the pistol is no better. the random deviation is absurd. you can try all you want to aim for the head but the bullet might go off to the side anyway.
