After seeing this game, having played the original Hawken and the Negative reviews it had garnered i had to try it for myself to see if i could understand why and frankly i cant. The review bombs narrow down to essentially "It say Hawken but not PvP. Am mad" many of those same reviews: less than 2 hours game time, didnt even play the game or give it a chance to grow on you, saw it had no pvp and decided to abandon it. To those people, i hope this game becomes even better in its following updates and you miss what it has to offer, if you cant handle it just starting out you dont deserve it with more polish.

To anyone deciding to give this game a go though, know it is a Co-op enabled Mech Looter-Shooter in its current state where you progress your weapons and mechs through open-world combat. if you want some of that old Hawken feel back, simply put the camera angle to first person, it'll feel like a reminder of the old way. I cant wait to see what the devs have yet in store for this game :)

Game's a bit shallow at the moment, but not as bad as you might think. Most of the negative reviews are coming from people disappointed that it's not an arena shooter

I was one of the top dogs on Hawken OG. When i saw the name "Hawken" as a new game release i was ecstatic. Of course it had "reborn" attached to the name. I was hoping for some nostalgia at least and thought "how far can they be off target from the OG?"...Pretty far.
Hawken Reborn feels goofy and off kilter comparatively. Like a knock-off version of the original.
Hawken was already a niche mech game with a somewhat narrow but cult-like player base. Like many have already stated: Just restart the OG servers, add a couple new maps, new mechs and maybe revamp some textures. The devs could easily reap the benefits of all the micro transactions and redeem their reputation.
Personally, I would pay big money for Hawken OG to be back online.
