The Jotuns are back and stronger than ever at the fortress you once pillaged, so it’s time to dust off your teleportation totems again. Our scouts report that the giants have already managed to drag various high-quality equipment and more than 5,000 gold coins into their fortress, and have also distributed their treasures among stashes in the occupied territory. You will definitely have something to profit from, but do not forget about the less fortunate fighters—valuable trophies can also be found on their bodies!

The event will run from October 15 to October 29. If you took part in the last Feudal Mayhem event, you already know the drill! Feel free to jump straight into checking out the updated rewards, which have gotten even better this time around. But if you're new, don't worry—we've got you covered. Complete special tasks to earn event points and unlock rewards. Every day, a new event level will open, and the higher you climb, the better the rewards!


As you can see, the rewards are definitely worth the effort. Now, let’s talk about the quests. Whether you're a seasoned Knool hunter or an arena champion, there's plenty of action waiting for you.


At the end of the event, we will tally the results. The three fastest players to reach the maximum event level will be immortalized in the new Hall of Fame channel on our official Discord[discord.gg] server. Their nicknames will forever be etched into the history of Life is Feudal: MMO.

• Lag compensation has been re-enabled in the open world. We received a significant amount of feedback regarding connection quality during the test week.
  
• The web part of the game has been updated to improve stability, optimization, and to fix several issues.

Get your best gear and sharpen your weapons; the Siege Event is coming! Storm the castle, defeat the mighty Jotuns, and seize untold riches.

The event starts on August 30, 7:00 PM CEST. Your main goal is to storm the fortified castle and defeat its defenders. The previous bounty hunters were unlucky—they all perished in battle, never making it past the castle walls. However, they left behind a trebuchet and explosive barrels; we hope you’ll have better luck with them. Additionally, you’re welcome to take the siege equipment with you if you wish.

Defeating the Jotuns won't be easy, and it’s nearly impossible to do alone. So gather your friends to increase your chances of success. The battle will be fierce, but the rewards are worth the risk: valuable loot awaits from each defeated defender.

Special event teleportation totems will help you with this, each transporting you directly to the castle entrance. You’ll be able to claim the totems from the rewards window once the event begins, and they will be placed in your Xsolla inventory for transfer into the game. When you’re ready to retreat, use the reverse teleportation totem—but remember, you only have one!

Please note that all totems transfer your character along with their equipment, and you won’t lose the totems upon death. All totems will be automatically removed from your inventory some time after the event ends.

Valuable loot can be obtained not only from the castle defenders but also from hidden caches and scattered items throughout the location. Here’s what you can expect to find:

• Armor and weapons: Defeat castle defenders to claim various high-quality equipment.
  
• Gold: Over 2,000 gold coins await their new owners in hidden spots and caches throughout the castle.
  
• Caches: Be vigilant; caches with valuable items are hidden all over the location.
  
• Good ol’ looting: Collect trophies from the bodies of less fortunate warriors.

This hotfix addresses issues with the active skill progression system and durability loss for shields during arena battles.

We appreciate your patience during the maintenance. Below are the details of the latest changes.

Changes:

• Active Skill Progression Fix: We've resolved a bug where active skill progression was incorrectly applied to a skill even when that skill was marked for downgrade (marked with a downward arrow).
  
• Shield Durability in Arena: Durability loss for shields during arena battles has been removed. We will later remove durability loss for parrying with weapons as well.

Technical maintenance has been successfully completed! Here’s everything you need to know about the latest update to Life is Feudal: MMO:

• We’ve introduced a new active-passive skill progression system to enhance your gameplay experience. This system encourages players to engage in the activities they wish to improve. You will now gain additional direct experience for performing actions until you have locked a skill to level up. For example, if you're actively mining, you will not only fill the standard experience pool but also receive some direct experience in Mining.
  
• We have not changed the speed of passive skill progression. Experience from active actions is a bonus. According to our estimates, this will speed up leveling by 10% - 20%, but this value depends on the skill being leveled and the chosen method of active training.

We look forward to your feedback on this change and are ready to adjust both the parameters of the entire system and individual skills.

• New temporary buffs are available for newcomers after character creation. These include:

1. A 30% increase in experience gain from all sources for 3 days.
   
2. A 30% acceleration in skill experience distribution for 3 days.

• Guild leaders now have the ability to reset support points at outposts, allowing for more strategic control over guild resources. You can't reset support points at buildings where an enemy outpost is set up nearby.

We've made some changes to the Repair system. Previously, we removed the quality loss from Repair Kits, but we haven't completely abandoned the idea of implementing such a mechanic. The overall principle remains that repair serves as a means of removing resources from the game to facilitate their circulation and maintain activity at any stage of the server's life.

• The Repair Armor skill (workbench ability) has been revamped and renamed Repair Equipment. Players can now repair Weapons, Armor, Tools, Clothing, and more. Repairs require 1/4 of the crafting materials for the item. Using higher-quality workbench for repairs will restore more durability to the item. The quality of the materials used for repairs is not considered; only the quality of the workbench matters. Since most recipes use "common materials", it doesn't matter if you use the worst one, the quality of the materials doesn't matter. So you can repair a q100 blacksmith hammer using a q1 iron ingot.
  
• Note that maximum durability and quality remain unchanged after repairs.

• Repair Kits will remain a mobile way to repair items, but they will still have a chance of losing durability when used. Now, when repairing items with Repair Kits, there will be some quality loss, but it will be much less than before.
  
• Small repair kit durability restoration 40-60 → 60-100
  
• Chance to restore with durability loss 40-80% (depending on luck)
  
• Maximum durability loss 0 → 1%

The new version is more forgiving than the original and retains the ability to repair without losing maximum quality.

• Improved localization in the server launcher to enhance user accessibility.

• Game load times have been reduced to ensure a quicker and smoother entrance into the game world.

• We have fine-tuned and improved the following structures:

• Localization for all languages has been updated to include new structures such as:

• Stamina consumption when parry has been reduced from 7 to 3.
  
• The stun duration of enemies when successfully parrying has increased from 1 second to 1.5 seconds.

• Now you don't have to worry about damaging your equipment in the arena. Fight to your heart's content.

• Rewards for group arenas have been added.
  
• Large Group Arena: 10 silver for a win, 5 silver for a loss, 7 silver for a draw.
  
• Small Group Arena: 5 silver for a win, 2 silver for a loss, 3 silver for a draw.

• Added an option to disable cinematics in the game menu. We really love our new logo, but now you can skip it when launching the game.

• Resolved the issue where building current durability affected the quality of produced goods. Only the maximum durability of the building now influences product quality.

• Removed the possibility of abusing infinite terraforming while mining, ensuring fair play and balanced skill progression.

• Resolved the issue where the game map would hang when spamming the refresh button.

• Fixed a bug where teammates appeared as enemies in group arenas.
  
• Updated group arena tables for clearer team separation.
  
• Addressed the issue where groups would disband after exiting group arenas.
  
• Fixed the bug where a group member received an arena invitation even if the group leader canceled the search.

• Fixed the issue where characters remained on enemy guild territory after re-logging.

• Updated the user list in chat channels so it no longer resets scrolls to the top.
  
• Fixed the issue where the chat channel participant counter worked incorrectly.

Prepare your weapons and wits, as the Royal Loot Hunt event is almost upon us! On August 16, embark on a quest to retrieve the stolen Crown Treasure in four rounds near each green zone on Godenland.

The Crown's precious treasures have been stolen and divided among four cunning thieves, disguised as merchants. These rogues are moving through the map, each protected by elite guards.

Your mission is to track down the thieves and claim the treasures for yourself! Use live stream clues to outsmart them, but remember, direct confrontation isn’t your only option. You can also win through diplomacy and negotiation.

Participate in the Royal Loot Hunt for a chance to gain rare rewards and achieve glory. Rally your allies, plot your strategy, and join the hunt for fame and fortune!

What if Life is Feudal: MMO had a client running on Unreal Engine 5?

We are considering the possibility of porting Life is Feudal: MMO to Unreal Engine 5. However, we want to consult our community before we fully commit to this move. Today, we aim to provide a detailed explanation of how the Life is Feudal: MMO client would work on Unreal Engine 5.

This new client promises to bring substantial enhancements to the game's graphics, performance, and overall player experience, without changing the core mechanics. This ensures that your gameplay experience will be significantly improved while remaining familiar.

• Visual Overhaul: Unreal Engine 5 offers hugely improved graphics capabilities, greatly improving the detail found in the game. For example, the improved textures and dynamic lighting would make the forests a lot more immersive, water effects can be a lot more realistic, and, excitingly, the amount of detail across all actors (all elements from grass to characters and buildings are referred to as actors) in the game can be greatly improved.
  
• Character Models: Player and NPC models will be more detailed and realistic.
  
• Special Effects: Modern visual effects like realistic shadows, reflections, and weather conditions that enhance the immersive experience!
  
• User Interface: The UI will not only receive a visual upgrade, but will also become more user-friendly and intuitive.

• Optimization: UE5 is designed to run efficiently on a variety of hardware. Players with high-end systems will enjoy ultra-high graphics settings, while those with lower-end systems will benefit from better performance and stability.
  
• Smoother Gameplay: The transition to UE5 promises reduced load times and smoother frame rates, resulting in a more fluid and enjoyable gaming experience.
  
• Better Compatibility: The new client will be more adaptable to different system configurations, ensuring that more players can enjoy the game without compromising on quality.

• Servers: The server-side of Life is Feudal: MMO will continue to operate as it is now. This ensures that the core mechanics, such as game logic, physics, and network systems, remain unchanged. Your gameplay experience will be consistent and as stable as the current one.
  
• Gameplay Integrity: All the core game mechanics, such as combat, crafting, and building, will remain intact. The transition to UE5 is purely for visual and performance enhancements.

All of this allows us to develop the new client in a way that would work directly with the existing server infrastructure. This is important as it means that there would be no loss of progress or disruptions to your current gameplay experience.

We also want to assure you that even if we start full development on the UE5 client, this does not mean we will stop working on the current version. All planned game changes and new content will be released as scheduled.
