I have priotizied them, I have set peons to only work on berries and nothing else... and yet my food supply keeps dwindling. Is there something I am missing?

So, I'm trying to get into this game- but I have a laptop and no middle mouse button. Normally this is fine in games, as the "zoom in and out" function can be achieved by doing a sort of, two finger pinch at the touchpad. However, to adjust the pitch of the camera in this game, it says I have to hold down the middle mouse button. I don't, think there's a way I can do that. I don't see anything to change in the menu either for that. Help?...

I bought it recently because it looks cool, but I saw a lot of negative reviews and people are not very happy about how the game has turned out

For example, one of the big things is having a bunch of materials sitting inside my manufacturing structures. Like a cloth maker having a bunch of cloth and my temple needing cloth, but...no one is moving it to the temple. Do Peons do that? Do haulers do that? Does it need to go from the cloth maker to the store house before it can go to the temple? If so, who moves it where and in which order?...
