  We figured out some bugs with savings occurred due to the previous game engine. So we upgraded it to the newest version. It took a long time for us and we’re apologizing again for the late content update. Feel free to let us know any problem occurs with this patch.

  Now it’s available to change controls on your controllers!
  
• Red Specter Index
  The ghosts will share their stories within the Red Specter Index from now on!

We’re here with the most recent patch notes.

• Added Cloud Save
  - You can now use Cloud Save to save your progress on Steam.
  - Please note that you will have to manually select Cloud Save for it to work, the save is not automatic.
  
  
• Added guardian pets
  - We’ve added cute little guardian pets!
  - Remember the really big specter that chased you around? Well it’s a lot smaller now!
  
  
• Thurible
  - You can now upgrade your thurible to store more fugitive souls.
  - The upgrade can be bought from Deller.
  
  
• We’ve also made bug fixes, balance changes and some localization polish work as well.

There are additional updates on the way, and we’re excited to roll them out in the future.
Just to give you guys an idea of what the update is going to be, it’s going to things like a new Journal to keep track of different specters and a new Boss Rush challenge mode.

Hello Afterlife Adventurers,

This update aims to address some of the things we saw in your feedback. Thank you so much for letting us know what you think about the game!

[Cloud Save]

• We implemented a pre-update to turn the Steam Cloud Save feature back on
  
• Please let us know if your save file doesn’t load up properly

[UI Improvement]

• We added a feature to the UI that will make it easier to swap weapons (pictured below)

• Show the location of mirror shards picked up by the player.

[Bug Fixes]

• Fixed a problem where boss events wouldn’t work properly after turning off the game during one of them
  
• Fixed bug which player can’t land on spinning wheel when they are in Ducroak form.
  
• Fixed bug where the prices would mistakenly revert back to normal after resetting your skills because the number of times skills were reset wasn’t being saved
  
• Fixed bug where the player had 4 potions but the HUD incorrectly displayed them having 5

Hello Afterlife Adventurers,

Today we just released a patch to fix a couple issues (detailed below).

[Balancing Adjustments]

1. Added a save point at the final boss
   
2. Made some changes to map design
   
3. Altered balancing of some boss battles

[Control-related Bugs]

1. Fixed problem where button inputs sometimes registered incorrectly.
   
2. Fixed the inputs for Xbox and Playstation controllers.
   (Ex. Not being able to jump when pressing ‘down’ on the d-pad)

[Misc.]

1. Fixed some translation errors.
   
2. We've found an issue with the Cloud Save feature and will try to fix it in the next patch, but it will be turned off for the time being. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope you can understand.

1. Find the save files at the location below.

First of all, we’d like to sincerely thank everyone for trying out our game. It really means the world to us.

That being said, we’re very sorry to see/hear that 8Doors didn’t meet some of your expectations and we’d like to apologize for that.

You can rest assured that we’re keeping a close eye on all of your feedback though (both positive and negative) and will do our absolute best to fix the bugs and improve on aspects of the game that disappointed you.

We also saw that many of you were having issues when using a Playstation controller in particular. We’ll try to fix this as fast as we can too, but recommend using an Xbox controller in the meantime.

*If for some reason an Xbox controller doesn’t work either, then we recommend clearing the Steam controller settings and trying to use the controller again. If it still doesn’t work, then please contact us via either of the options below.

8Doors: Arum’s Afterlife Adventure will finally be available on GOG and Steam starting April 8th!

We’re very thankful to our community & fans that have been waiting a long time for the game’s release. We gave our best to develop the game and it’s finally time for you to venture into purgatory as Arum.
Pick up the game while it’s on a 20% sale for the first two weeks of its launch!
The purgatory is split into nine different regions, adventure through these different landscapes with various weapons in hand to find your missing father.
Be the one to save the purgatory from its demise as you figure out dark secrets by overcoming ghastly adversities.
For those of you that want to focus more on the story and less so on combat, we’ve got you covered. We have added a new ‘story’ mode that allows you to venture through the purgatory without having to undergo too much stress due to combat & gameplay.

Hey guys, we’re finally releasing the full 1.0 version of 8Doors: Arum’s Afterlife Adventure!
Thank you all so much for your support, this couldn’t have been possible without your help.

Q: How much will the game cost?
A: The base price of the game is $19.99

Q: How much playtime can we expect in the full game?
A: It really depends on player skill but we’re expecting around 10~20 hours of playtime.

Q: Are there going to be achievements?
A: Yes of course! There are a total of 44 achievements for you to unlock.

Q: What time exactly will the game be released?
A: The game will be released simultaneously as written in different time zones below:

• KST : 2021.04.08 10:00
  
• PDT : 2021.04.07 18:00
  
• CET : 2021.04.08 02:00

Q: Any plans for console releases?
A: We’ve been pretty set on developing the game for PC up until this point, but expanding the game to consoles is something we’re looking forward to doing. We’ll keep you updated about this.

Q: How many in-game bosses are there?
A: There are a total of 21 bosses in purgatory. That’s 14 bosses and 7 hidden bosses, so be careful when venturing around the purgatory.

Guys again, it’s been an amazing ride for us to develop a game that we’ve dreamt of and have it finally released to the world to play. We genuinely hope that you’ll enjoy playing the game as much as we’ve enjoyed developing it.
