Hello! I hope you all have been doing alright during this crazy year.

First I'd like to apologize for the slow progress on Tale of Toast. I have not been able to spend any time since the last update in April to work on the game until now.

Over the past month I have started working on an experimental build of the game that will completely change combat and various other features, hopefully for the better. It's still a ways away from being a fully functioning version of Toast, but progress on it is going ok for now. I feel that the game could be a lot more fun with this new combat style, and I hope to make improvements on the existing features that are going to remain in the game.

Anyway, here's a very small update that fixes a crafting issue and adds a simple change to dual-wielding weapons. Enjoy and stay safe!

  • When skipping quest dialogue, the chat box is now filled with the remaining text from the conversation.
    
  • The City Invasion event is now disabled.
    
  • Off-hand weapons now attack independently from the main-hand, so dual wielding weapons is now more effective.

  • Crafting an item using Magic Crystals in both slots should now produce the correct result

  • Quests that award items can no longer be completed if the player's inventory is full
    
  • Hit chance has returned! Equipment items now have a hit rating that increases your chance to land hits when attacking targets
    
  • Reduced global skill cooldown when swapping weapons down to 1 second (previously 10 seconds)

  • All crafted items can now be made within 3 seconds after hitting the craft button regardless of amount
    
  • Amount of materials to craft can be manually set
    
  • The ability to add quality to items while crafting has been removed
    
  • High quality crafting materials have been removed (your materials will still be there, they will only lose the +number)
    
  • Crafted items have gained a slight stat boost to make them better than randomly found items
    
  • Players can no longer craft recipes that are higher level than their current trade skill
    
  • New crystal items can now be applied when crafting equipment to guarantee certain attributes
    
  • Equipment items can now have a new crafting attribute applied, which will give you higher chances at crafting equipment with high stat values
• New Tradeskill: Enchanting
  • New disenchantment scrolls can now be crafted which will allow players to destroy items and turn them into enchanting materials
    
  • Attempting to enchant equipment has a chance to break the item, requiring repair before the item can be used again
    
  • Craftable quality enchanting scrolls which can be applied to equipment items has replaced the old method of adding quality to items during crafting
    
  • Repair scrolls can be crafted to fix items that broke during an enchant attempt
    
  • Craftable stat enchanting scrolls will increase the stat values of an item when successfully applied
    
  • Added enchanting trainers to major towns

• General
  • Using self-buff abilities will no longer anger nearby guards
    
  • Guards should no longer randomly attack you when respawning
    
  • Phat gathering nodes should now properly give you increased tradeskill XP
    
  • Fixed the close button for the mailbox UI
    
  • Fixed an XP farming issue
    
  • Dead NPCs are no longer visible when entering scope
    
  • NPCs now properly reset when being unable to reach their target
    
  • Fixed an issue with being able to endlessly stun a target
    
  • Fixed a terrain issue in No Man's Land
    
  • Fixed locations of extra bank tab slot buttons

We have started looking into how Blockchain technology can be utilized in Tale of Toast, and as a way to do offer our players some direct advantages we have collaborated with High Performance Blockchain.
High Performance Blockchain has kindly provided Tale of Toast with more than 30 000 HPB (a cryptocurrency) that players can earn in-game by doing the following:

• Killing Enemies (10% chance to get 0.01 - 0.02 HPB)
  
• Gathering Materials (10% chance to get 0.01 - 0.02 HPB)
  
• Looting Chests (100% chance to get 0.1 - 0.25 HPB)
  
• Killing Bosses (100% chance to get 0.1 - 1 HPB)

This means that by simply playing the game, you are able to obtain cryptocurrency. These coins can then be used as payment for Crumbs, kept or traded on Exchanges against other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
Moving forward we plan to utilize their Hardware Random Number Generator functionality, to for example ensure fully fair loot that players can verify.
We are also planning to add "HRC-721 tokens" used for in-game collectibles, along with new use cases for HPB in-game such as players using HPB coins to take part in races and other competitions where the winner receives the pot.

There is also a limited edition Pet available for the coming four weeks for all players. To obtain it all you need to do is have a word with Hurder in Brightwyn, near the campfire.
The pet is tradable, and you will not drop it on death even if you have PvP enabled.

The Halloween events have returned! From 10/10/19 to 11/1/19 you can participate in Halloween themed world events and get special rewards.
