I would like to confirm that we released an update for the Steam version of the game.

As previously announced, this update deals with several issues affecting game progress as a priority.

It has been confirmed that applying this update will reduce the frequency with which application errors occur, but there are unfortunately still some occurrences as before. We are also looking into other issues reported that are not addressed in this patch. We will make suitable investigations and take everyone’s feedback into account in order to prepare for the next patch as soon as possible.

I must apologise sincerely for the continued inconvenience.

We will announce full details of the next patch as soon as they are finalised, so watch out for future updates.

Version update (1.01) information

We have released a patch which allows the version update (1.01) for Secret of Mana. The update contents are as follows:

Update Contents:

• Fewer application errors.
  
• Fewer instances of characters suddenly appearing on a blacked-out background.
  
• Reduced frequency of corrupted character colors after a status ailment has worn off.
  
• Fewer instances of the screen appearing half in black.
  
• Characters will no longer be revived with 0 HP.
  
• Conversations in certain areas now end normally.
  
• Reduced frequency of characters not appearing properly in areas set above ground level.
  
• Enemies no longer become immobile when certain combinations of attacks and magic are used.
  
• Bow and arrow weapons now behave differently in battles with certain monsters.
  
• Adjustments to certain DLC wallpaper images.

Added features:

• Guide text displayed for changing buttons on the ring command menu.
  
• Character icons for denoting the ring in use on the ring command menu.
  
• Item effects displayed on the ring command menu.

Hi everyone,
This week we’ve announced some very interesting new features coming to the Secret of Mana remake and I’m here to run you through them!

1. Co-op multiplayer - one of the main things we’ve been asked since we announced the remake is whether or not co-op would return, and I’m glad to announce that yes, it will! The Secret of Mana remake will let you play offline multiplayer co-op with up to two other players, so get your friends together!
   
2. Multiplayer update – we’re not just adding multiplayer, but actually improving it too – now when one player casts magic all other players will be able to continue playing, without having to wait.
   
3. The music – the Secret of Mana remake is going to come with a brand new rearranged soundtrack, but for those of you who loved the original (or just want a trip down memory lane) we’re going to include the soundtrack from the original game too, and most importantly, you’ll be able to switch between them whenever you like!
   
4. Interlude episodes – these are brand-new to the remake and show all-new scenes and interactions between Randi and the friends he meets on his adventure.
   
5. Game log – now you’ll be able to look back at Randi’s adventure to remind yourself of the story so far from the game log. If I don’t play a game for a few days I often forget what last happened, so I’m going to find this particularly useful and I hope you will too.
   
6. Achievements – if you want (and manage) to take on every challenge in Secret of Mana then you’ll probably want to be able to show off how well you’ve done, and now you’ll be able to!

Last week we announced that the legendary Secret of Mana is getting a full 3D remake and being released on Steam on the 15th of February, 2018 (not long to go!) To add to that you’re now also able to pre-order the game; for pre-ordering you’ll receive special character costumes (Moogle Suit for Randi, Primm and Popoi, Tiger Two-Piece for Primm and Tiger Suit for Randi and Popoi) as well as a custom downloadable wallpaper!
