Sadly you can no longer buy this game, so this would mostly be for those that already own the game or for if maybe the owner of the ip that abandoned this project decides to sell new keys again for maybe 5,- a piece (or just make it free to play, force players to maintain their own servers), any more then 5,- would be overpricing a fairly broken, mostly abandoned game.

So...
You may expect this game to be dead and buried since 2020 or so when they made this abandonware, stopped selling the game and shut down the official servers...
yet there's still one guy developing for it as of 2024 out of passion for those of us that remain and there's playable private/semi-official servers running with their updated/modded version of the game.
Regrettably cracked versions do not work and since it's not open source only the one guy with source access can do anything at all because of legal reasons, which sucks... But at least there's ongoing slow efforts to fix things and it IS playable! Which is awesome.

You can also play singleplayer which is essentially your own local private server so definitely a playable game worth a 5,- for a nice if buggy entertaining time if it were ever to be sold again. If you own it, try it again maybe?

The game is very buggy, but fun especially for a niche space based game like this. For the multiplayer there's very few players, but again it's set in space amongst debris and deserted ruins with few corpses, so perfectly acceptable to be alone.
Most online players i've seen together is 7 at any given time, and usually its 2 or 3 at most on average during peak hours, there's also only 27 of us registered with a character on the "main server" as of writing may 2024.

For the continued fan support alone i'd say give it a try if you still can.

I'd love to see more happening with this game, but the owner of the ip wants 1million dollars or so for it, so its unlikely anyone will ever buy this incredibly niche, outdated unity built game/ip. Its easier and cheaper to just start something new in unreal engine i bet.

Anyhow:
A Thumbs-up from me despite it's poor past, i wish to see more and hope this zombie game revives somehow in the future.
even if only as a mostly free mod managed indie title. Sadly bureaucratic legal BS prevents most such efforts which is a shame.
Money and time could solve this, but, modders and fans are few and also poor, so unlikely to fund it to make that happen.
