What a beautiful little game. I played the sequel, Eastshade, many years ago and loved it. Eastshade has one of the most picturesque worlds out of any game I’ve played. I wanted to see it again so I figured I’d finally give Leaving Lyndow a try. It’s fairly short but just as beautiful as Eastshade. A pleasant experience if you want to enjoy the landscape, feel inspired, and are ready to get a bit sentimental. Definitely worth the money for me.

One thing I’ll note is that I’m prone to experiencing motion sickness in first-person games. (In my case it’s mainly eye strain and headaches.) Unfortunately, Leaving Lyndow triggered that as well, especially due to the way the camera sways when you move left or right. I wish there was a way to turn that off. In that regard, I was glad that the game only took an hour to finish.
