I played 14 hours on this game in two days. Its a good game.

This game is stunningly beautiful. Simple, yet visually appealing. Calming, even. Each map has their own beauty, and each stage has their own beauty. The cars themselves look beautiful and cute at the same time.

Don't let the simple visual art fool you; this arcade rally game has quite a high skill ceiling. You can't just come in and quickly drift around the track like no one's business. This game requires skills and patience to learn the intricacies of how the car behaves on the track.

To make it more difficult, each car is extremely different from one another; you cannot translate what you learned from one car to another car. On the positive note, because there are a huge variety of cars to choose from, you can easily find one that suits your style the most. A low powered FWD, a handbrake friendly RWD or a powerful AWD... All are there and ready for you to master!

To make matters even MORE difficult, the weather affects everything. The same track on dry can be completely different when it is wet; you had to take different lines, different braking zones, different throttle inputs, etc. And they're the exact same track, just with different weathers!

A few of the achievements can be quite grindy, which sucked a bit of the fun out the game. One of the achievements forced you to use a single car for a LONG time to get the achievement. If you suck with the car, you are not having a good time.

The only biggest "problem" (it's more of a personal problem really) to this game is the camera angle. It's not a "third person" view like you get from typical racing games; it is more a top-down view. This camera angle is needed and a must because the maps have tall hills and blind corners that you can never see if you're in 3rd person view. So it's taking quite a long time to get used to. If you REALLY want that 3rd person view, it is recommended to download the Camera Mod from NexusMod. It requires a little bit of fiddling but it is possible.

And I'd say I HIGHLY recommend the Camera Mod. Because your camera angle is now different, the art now has a different kind of beauty to them. Because your camera is now closer, everything feels more intimate, feels a little bit more closer to heart. Granted, the details are not great because they're not meant to view up close, and you can get the low angle views in Photo Mode, but they have a certain type of beauty you can never get without the Camera Mod.

This game is truly amazingly put together, tons of fun to play, a gorgeous piece of moving art and a beautiful love letter to the golden era of Rally. It really is the Art Of Rally.

Piacevole alternativa ai simcade rally, apprezzabile sia per la leggerezza del gameplay che per i pregevoli sforzi nello stile grafico e nel design delle speciali. Visto il prezzo, era lecito aspettarsi qualcosa di più sotto l'aspetto tecnico, sia per il comparto sonoro (il suono del motore va e viene) che nell'ottimizzazione. Fortunatamente, le key sono particolarmente abbordabili.
