I feel a bit bad giving a thumbs down since I really wanted to like this game. The art style is pretty interesting and it has some cool looking environments, plus I think its a small dev team.. but I got to that level with the canons firing at the castle and you have to run through without getting hit and I spent a half hour dying repeatedly until I questioned why I was subjecting myself to this?
I was not having fun, I wanted to play a point and click adventure game, not some F tier action game with terrible controls and lame game play that was not remotely fun to me.
I tried to come back later a few times, but I just can't with that stupid level. I understand wanting to push boundaries with the game genre, but I personally think action sequences like that are always going to be at odds with point and click adventure games.
I feel confident saying I don't think i am the only one who plays this style game for the puzzles and the slower pace of taking in the clues and figuring things out
