Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode: Who TF Green Lit This?

I'm just passed the Fridge on the UVHM and this isn't fun. Like how is it fun when the weapons do basically minimal damage? I can rip a headshot off the crown of one of those regular bad guys 5x and they're still standing? How is it supposed to be fun when you're trying to finish a level but keep dying only to have to go back to the start and because it takes so much time the bad guys respawn as you're trying to finish the boss?
