Mount and Blade fans should enjoy this. I found the emphasis on firearms in combat, mercenary-based hiring and trade for finances (among others) significant deviations from previous games, which makes the early game somewhat tough. But once the party size increases, the musketeers/riflemen in your party will make combat much easier. I'll post more as I progress.

mount and blade in the age of firearms is NOT as fun as it sounds. Get ready to be executed by firing squad every time you show up in person on the battlefield. The guns are only reliable shots en-masse, too, so don't expect to hit any specific guy on purpose with your own gun. I don't know if this game was made as a prank on the fans or what, but it doesn't work out to play. Very neat historical setting, though, so if that's your specific thing and you're a big fan of the series, maybe you will get some value out of this purchase.
