If you know what to expect from it (as I did), it can be an ok experience. The "Just one Turn" still works.

Do note however, that there are a ton of annoying bugs. Some examples:
- The AI is just completely braindead. On some maps it will just remain in their towns doing nothing, even when they could easily crush you with their army. Sometimes it will leave a town while you're standing right in front of it, allowing you to capture it without a fight. Sieges can either be an absolute nightmare or child's play, depending entirely on chance: Sometimes the AI - with all their shooters dead and their meele troops being more than enough to deal with you - will just stay behind the walls spamming defend, allowing your shooters to hit them until they die. Other times it goes full aggro, blasting you with spells and moving their (most of the time bigger) meele stacks out immediately.
- Inferno Campaign 1 Azkaal Bossfight: Insanely difficult due to his abilities not working properly: The one stating that it increases fire damage received by a unit by 100% does nothing at all - while still consuming your turn.
- You can't select some of your heroes for the final campaigns
- Spells/Abilities work inconsistently. (Example: "Rush" increases dmg for every tile crossed. Darkness elementals and pit lords are units that both teleport to their location. The elementals do not get the dmg increase while pit lords do.)
- Duration of spells works inconsistently with Morale - sometimes good Morale counts as a turn, sometimes it doesn't.
- The scaling of some spells and abilities is broken: My 15 Spell Power Hero's healing spell would heal for more than my 40 Spell Power Hero.
- You cannot replay the campaigns with a different Hero affinity anymore. The button is still there but it will always start with the default affinity hero.

Design Flaws:
Since the AI, as stated above, is just bad, difficulty is created instead by the following means:
- The AI blatantly cheats: Its armies increase even in towns with no dwellings built.
- The AI can constantly spam its racial ability even when the requirement to fill up the gauge (e.g. good Morale for Haven) did never occur.
- ALL of the AI heroes are close to your level. For mission 3 and 4 that means endless spam of Chain Lightning and Fireball on Turn 1. That is, if they're magic affinity. Might heroes are just sad, the AI will mostly just spam puny normal attacks.

In General, there are just some big "wtfs" in the campaign:
- The story does not make any sense: People appear in random dialogues/cutscenes that sometimes are not even linked to what you are currently doing. (e.g. Cate, Sveltana, the angels...)
- Bossfights are not actually about strategy, because the bosses' stats are fixed. This means that you just need a certain number of units to do enough damage and to survive its attacks.
- Inferno 3 is quite challenging, as the enemy starts with 8 towns, all scattered across the map. In Inferno 4 (the last campaign) however the enemy starts with just 1 town, which it will almost never leave, even though there are several neutral towns nearby it could claim, making this one a piece of cake where you just conquer the map until your army is big enough to attack this one town.
- Sanctuary 3: The enemy can walk on water, attacking two towns from four directions. This means that your main hero will constantly town portal between them and hope that they don't attack both towns at the same time. (Your secondary heroes will be too weak to deal with them). This coupled with the fact that the enemy has an infinite amount of units available makes this mission a slog of saving and reloading.
- Sometimes it is just better to ignore secondary mission objectives, since pursuing them will trigger another AI to start attacking you, forcing you to constantly town portal with your main hero.
- Town portal in general: Everytime you get too close to an enemy, they'll just town portal back home, start travelling in your direction again, rinse and repeat.

Despite all that, I had some degree of fun. But I doubt that others will.
