Just like with Minecraft, Unturned or many other games, how can I host a server using my PC for my friends? Asking because playing with 130- ping on official servers felt really messy

I have 4 generic ps3 controllers. Whenever a game doesn't work with them i use x360ce and then they work. I tried this game last week with my girlfriend and it worked after mapping controllers with x360ce. The weird thing is that today i invited some friends over and controllers didnt work (i can skip intro with controllers, but they are useless from the menu and everything else).
