Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most abysmal, soul-crushing, migraine-inducing abominations ever to be forced upon the gaming community. It is a festering cesspool of rage, disappointment, and broken promises, wrapped in a thin veneer of "tactical shooter" pretense. Every match feels like plunging your bare hands into a pit of writhing cockroaches as you endure teammates who possess the brainpower of soggy cardboard and enemies who can snap your neck from three maps away with a single, poorly-aimed shot. The operators, once heralded as unique and interesting, have devolved into a bloated, unbalanced freak show of skins and gadgets, turning every match into a grotesque circus of who can exploit the game mechanics the fastest. The servers, riddled with more holes than a corpse in a war zone, lag so horribly that you may as well be playing from the bottom of the Mariana Trench. The matchmaking is a horror show, a veritable house of torment that pairs you with toddlers gnawing on their controllers and places you against esports-level demons who have no concept of mercy. The sound design is so distorted and misleading that you’ll often find yourself spinning in helpless circles like a lobotomized owl as you get shot through seven walls by an invisible ghost. And the updates — oh, the updates — they arrive like horsemen of the apocalypse, bringing forth unholy floods of new bugs and glitches that transform the game into a virtual asylum. Playing Rainbow Six Siege is like willingly hammering nails into your own skull while Ubisoft laughs in the distance, shoveling microtransactions into their coffers. It is not merely a bad game — it is a blight upon gaming itself, a scar that may never heal, a rancid testament to corporate greed and incompetence, and it deserves to be cast into the deepest, darkest void imaginable.
