There was an old school game I played it was a JRPG where you go into this big huge tower that changes each time you enter, but you can get things like new NPC and stuff to grow your village each time you go into the tower you can save someone...or bring something back...so you'd have new events at the village new people to buy stuff from..it was really cool and organically grew with your character is this game like that?...

Is this straight permadeath, or is there some type of progression between runs? Or maybe a non-permadeath mode or option?
