I haven't watched the any of the anime adaptations nor read the manga and went in blind. The interface is a bit dated (though I have read that there's a fix, but it's optional if you don't like downloading other things) but it still plays well on modern systems -- though "potato PCs" could also run it well.

There's a lot of waifus but the plot is way beyond just "waifu selection". It's a good game for time travel drama fans and those interested in 2000s otaku culture. I would also recommend it for people who like reading about conspiracy theories. Some of the content may be triggering for certain individuals so I would advise to search online for possible triggers (I don't think I'm capable enough to identify all of them).

A walkthrough might be needed for some routes since decisions aren't always obvious.
