if you liked the fast pace of hotline miami, this could be kinda what you're looking for...
But the you're blind as a bat (no smart fog of war, instead your vision circle is like 10 meters),
Also unlike HM, the enemies and game have inconsistencies:

Some shots aggro the entire map, some dont.
Some ennemies take several shots to die, most dont.
Ennemies with long guns cannot be stabbed from the front.
Ennemies can see you through closed doors, or people you killed.
The "reset" when you die often catches you between two clicks, ruining your run twice.
Let's not talk about the dynamite, which explodes on contact sometimes, or blows after two secs on others.
and it's bound on F by default, so if you fat finger you just explode yourself. great.

On top of that, you can litterally skip the maps backwards by accident if you get pissed at the gunplay, which does take time to get used to.

The keybinds require you to restart the entire tutorial if you're not qwerty...

half of these issues could be fixed by a little polish, but it's never been done.

i think yeah, my biggest pet peeve with this thing is how inconsistent it is.

I like this game, but little hard :)))

It is a practically the fast Hotline Miami gameplay (with zero loading screens upon retrying) in a Western movie. If you like that, you might like this one

It is a basic, okay one-hit-death 2D shooter where you try to get to the end of the level. There is some plot thrown at you, though you do not really miss anything if you skip it. The "Satan told me" dude is amusing. It is somewhat repetitive. The game does not change from level 1. The game is about 6 hours long and starts to get boring after a couple of hours.

The gun play feels lacking and somewhat hacky. It is unsettling that you die in one hit while the enemies can take several at times.

The first train level is horrendous. You get hit by enemies you cannot even see. Apparently the DLC is even worse with the cheap deaths.

The game is neither bad nor good. It has the baseline game design of stiffly gliding 2D graphics and that is it. Nothing stellar. While not a weak entry per se, it does lack a convincing draw to play it. The game mechanics feel more like a chore than fun. It is half-baked in that sense.

I got this game from a giveaway, so I am not invested into it that much. I would be much more critical if I paid for it because of how limited the dynamic fun content in it is.

The camera thing is a pain in the A. Enemies see what you see, so unless enemies have their backs turned to you or sleeping, far-looking at them will make them start shooting at your direction even if you are on the other side of the map. This feature is what makes the train sequences extremely non-fun and frustration-inducing.

The saving grace is that enemies shoot like SW Storm Troopers, so eventually you are going to RNG out and hit them while they miss. If you do not like that stuff, definitely DO NOT BUY THE EXPANSION. It is full of that cheap rigged-against-the-player nonsense with the off-screen shooting and stuff.
