Since the launch of BioShock: The Collection, we’ve heard from some of our players about issues some of you have encountered. We hear your feedback and have made several title updates – today, Dec. 5, we will be issuing a third update to PC. This patch addresses several crash and polish bugs, improves stability on some machines, and adds support for Simplified Chinese text localization.

PC Patch 3: Releasing Dec 5 at 2pm PT

• Fixes various crash and polish bugs
  
• Improves stability on some lower-end machines
  
• Adds support for Simplified Chinese text localization

We hear your feedback and on Tuesday, December 20, we will be issuing a second update to PC. This patch address the flickering Vsync bug and various bugs causing the games to crash.

PC Patch 2: Releasing December 20 at 2pm PT

• Fixes flickering Vsync bug
  
• Various bugs causing crashing
  
• Renamed EXEs to load correct optimizations for 3rd party applications, libraries, and drivers.
  
  • Please Note: Due to this change, If you try to launch the title and get a “Missing executable” error, please restart Steam.

Since the launch of BioShock: The Collection, and the remastered versions of BioShock and BioShock 2, we’ve heard from some of our PC players about issues and bugs you have encountered, as well as some additional features you’d like to see support for. We’re issuing an update today that address several issues important to the community, including mouse acceleration, graphics options, and a number of other bug fixes. This patch will roll out around 3:30 pm PT, October 6.

We share your passion and dedication for BioShock, and we want to make sure as many people as possible can revisit these incredible worlds. Below are the full patch notes for the updates coming to BioShock 2 today. • Field-Of-View is now adjustable from 75 to 130 in the Graphics Options Menu.
  
• 21:9 Resolutions are now available. UI supports 2 modes (Stretch or Centered) at these resolutions.
  
• Mouse Button 4 and 5 assignments fixed.
  
• Mouse Icon Size is now adjustable and will scale with resolution.
  
• Several improvements have been made to Mouse Sensitivity, Threshold, and Buffering
  
• DirectX 11 Performance improvements
  
• Fixed several graphical issues with Occlusion Culling.
  
• Miscellaneous bug fixes

Since the launch of BioShock and BioShock 2 Remastered, some players have been reporting stability issues, while others have asked for additional feature support. We hear you and we’re happy to report we’re addressing this feedback soon. Whether it’s your first time in Rapture, or you’re revisiting it again, we want your experience with the BioShock remasters to be as enjoyable as possible.

We’re looking to address:

• General Mouse Fixes, including better Mouse Smoothing, Sensitivity and Acceleration Options in BioShock;
  
• Additional Speaker Mode Options in Audio Settings in BioShock;
  
• Improved FoV Slider Options in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva’s Den;
  
• Support for 21:9 display ratios in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva’s Den;
  
• General stability improvement to reduce instances of game crashes.
