Maid Moving Boxes looks innocent on the surface, but beneath the presentation is a puzzle game that quietly messes with your patience. It strips things down to the bare essentials and then dares you to overthink every move, punishing sloppy decisions without ever outright telling you why you failed. The puzzles are simple in concept but intentionally restrictive, forcing you to engage with the rules instead of brute-forcing solutions. There’s a strange contrast between the soft, cozy visuals and the cold, unforgiving logic underneath, which gives the game more bite than you’d expect at first glance.

Not a bad idea, but the progression is really weird. Most of the boxes are too heavy to move, and if you start at level 1 and just play, you'll eventually end up with a mountain of huge containers, desperately searching the pile for the lighter crates you can potentially pull out and deliver. Furthermore, those tiny light crates can be worth up to an order of magnitude more than the big heavier ones, making the heavy containers not just immovable, but not even worth moving.
To be fair, the game does introduce a crutch - a popup asking you to clear all the boxes when too many has been spawned in - but I think it's a lazy and very unsatisfying solution.
The later levels that demand a specific type of cargo are made worse by the fact that boxes are not labeled, at all, so you have to check them one by one. There is a skill that lights up the current objective-related boxes as a later game option, but giving the crates labels by weight and cargo type would have been a nice in-between option.
tl;dr Just make the weight and cost balance make sense, and visually label the different crates by weight and cargo, and you have a simple solid game. Until then, not a particularly enjoyable experience, but I'll update my review if this ever gets implemented.
