Ive verified game files, deleted & reinstalled. Any help?

I plugged in my Xbox 360 controller, as recommended by the game's welcome screen. I died over 20 times on the second level, not being able to kill more than one enemy before dying, before I decided to switch to mouse to see if it would improve things. I instantly was able to slay 3 enemies, and passed the level a few attempts later. Gamepad limits your shooting possibilties to the 8 cardinal directions, while mouse allows you to use your full 360 degree range. What are the developers thinking to possibly ...

I can't wrap my head around this level. What's the tactic? I keep dying and dying.

Do you have any plans to add Online Multiplayer? Only thing that is stopping me from buying this atm since i cant really play with my friends that are over seas
