For the love of god take it out back already

Its been almost 10 years now. the game at this point has been hacked together like Frankenstine's monster.
You cant keep adding things to a decade old game and expect them to work.

You cant add new seperate mechanics for nations and expect them to roll into the game well. nations either become BROKEN strong or get NUKED into the ground with each DLC. some nations have fun content others dont. Japan JUST got a new focus tree after 10 years. untill NCNS it was almost unplayable without mods due to its tiny tree with sweet F all to do.

You cant add new resources, Coal was a bad Idea and the talk about adding POWER is worse, FFS the MD mod is a mess due to all its stapled on things and base is heading down the same route.

You cant add unique mechanics for all nations and relegate it to the crappy decision menu. No step back just added a bunch of events and popups that granted you buffs or debuffs, thrilling!

You (at this point) cant change the base game, it was built as a simple version of HOI3 and is basicly just a paint the map in your colour game, no matter what you do thats what it will be, unless you artificaly slow down people *cough* coal *cough* and the base game is not interesting enough to do that. Research thing then make thing, then put in in the field. THATS IT. you dont manage anything else, if you want the game to be more indepth then just go back to HOI3.

Now thats not to say its not fun, it can be but now HOI4 is just a cash grab, the DLCS suck and are overpriced. No i will not buy AAT just to get Design companys and weapon trading, you want 27 CAD for that. No I wont buy NCMS for doctrine expansions, All these things just give you minor stat buffs, it could all be in the descicions tree and the function wouldnt change "Pay X to get Y" be it PP, Comand Power, Manpower, or days.

Its not worth 65$'s its worth 15 for base, at best.

They probably wont make HOI5, they will milk this into the ground first, then when they do it will be a shell of HOI4 because this game has had 10 years of dev time stapled onto it like a homunculus

Buy it on sale, and ignore all the DLC, just play with some mods that look fun to you.

5 years ago i would have recomended this, but at this point its just being milked clean
