I just finished my first play through. Overall I had a good time. As someone who has played all the soulsbourne games, some of the systems in this game were a bit tedious, but some were really cool. Severing specific limbs off of enemies to acquire certain pieces of gear is a cool mechanic and a fun way to keep killing the same enemies over and over more interesting. I also really enjoyed that beating bosses in certain ways would net you a different reward such as an improved weapon if the boss was killed while completing a specific parameter. I felt that the story was so-so but I enjoyed the sci-fi angle of a company trying to better the world but causing more harm than good(in a few different ways...) I would recommend the game if you are a souls game fan. There are some cool mechanics if you take the time to get used to a different style of souls-like!
