I liked the cannons a lot and the golf ball snipers seem pretty good aswell but the whiskey vomit stand kind of sucks. Am I using it wrong or is it just mid?

I'm not British myself, so I might be wrong on this, but it says in the game description that you have to "fight off the British invasion of Scotland". Last time I checked, the "British" were the inhabitants of Britain (as it has been historically called) AKA Great Britain, or perhaps all of the British Isles. Great Britain is the island that includes Scotland. Are the Scottisch being invaded by themselves? tried various resolutions and graphics settings, restarted computer multiple times, get the kilted scotsman screen, it waits a bit, then the title screen briefly flashes up before crashing back to steam
