The game does not launch because Ubisoft broke their own launcher.

I was able to fix the problem by downloading a new launcher and manually swapping the executable files, but it is entirely unreasonable for Ubisoft to have not fixed this themselves.

New gadgets and mechanics add a fresh touch, but at its core, this is still Assassin’s Creed—for better or worse. London’s stunning skyline eventually fades into just another playground of obstacles to scale, sprint across, and zipline over without a second thought. The lively crowds impress at first, but their scripted, repetitive events—chasing robbers, scaring off bullies—soon feel lifeless. Even the final boss fight, which lets you switch between Evie and Jacob, feels more tedious than thrilling, prioritizing difficulty over creativity. Like leaping from Big Ben into a haystack, the first time is exhilarating, but by the fifth, the magic is gone. Syndicate’s new tricks entertain for a while, but the novelty wears off long before the credits roll.
