I want to buy this game, but the last update was quite a while ago. Has it been abandoned by the developer?

Truthfully, what i want most to be added along development is a better pause screen and intro. Maybe even an animation to open up the game and give it more story. A basic plot like what the binding of issac had would be nice. other than that i'm not sure what else needs improvement, post what you think would make the game better. ...

i was playing the new invasion mode and i was doing fairly well, then this one enemy just latches onto me and i couldn't stop it. wtf?!
