Controller support doesn't work/performance issues

I tried using all my controllers and this game doesn't respond to any. Please let me use my xbox controller and also let me use my other gamepads because I regularly use my wiimotes, gamecube and playstation controllers on PC with adapters that allow them to be seen as generic usb controllers. Please allow controller support/fix it because it's broken. I have also been having weird performance issues sometimes the menus slow down and sometimes the game will load and be all choppy. Can't control game

The controller support for this game is very weird. My keyboard works for the menu but not when playing the game. My PS4 controller works when I connect one but doesn't work with 2at a time. It only works right when I use the touchscreen of my laptop but that is hard to control. Any fixes?...
