Based on what I saw of the decompiled code, the only condition to earn this achievement is to have a HP level of 0 at the end of the white fade out after beating the final boss. That HP level can only be increased whenever you take more than 10 hits, and is capped at 6. In other words: you have to beat the final boss without taking more than 10 hits in the entire game. Some people might have found that no matter what, they are unable to get the "Tied for First" achievement in-game. After some research on it, I found out that you can whistle through different songs (around 9 different ones) randomly. The description throws me off a bit. Has anyone [Legit via the game] got it can tell me if its equivalent to the Complete a boss fight with no damage but for the final [final] boss or is it pretty much asking for the game to be completed from start to finish with no damage taken?...

I've been trying to have a go at that one. I noticed two songs were checked when I whistled in castle's approach, but I have no idea what the 3rd song is... if it even exists.
